    "message": "docs: complete and correct the 1.6.3 NEWS entries (#619)\n\nNEWS-only. No code change.\n\n## Missing entry\n\nEvery issue merged this cycle has a NEWS entry except **#606**, which\nlanded as a docs-only change and was never recorded. Added under `##\nDocumentation`:\n\n> `devtools::document()` no longer rewrites files no source change had\ntouched. A title line left stranded above `validate_sort_indep_by()`\nwhen it was added in #600 meant `validate_sort_column()`'s block had no\ntitle of its own, so roxygen promoted its description into a four-line\n`\\title{}`…\n\nAudited by comparing the issue references in the 1.6.3 section against\nthe seven PRs merged since `4cb2a9d`:\n\n| | #603 | #605 | #606 | #608 | #609 | #613 | #614 |\n|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|\n| before | ✓ | ✓ | **missing** | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |\n| after | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |\n\n## Two corrections to existing entries\n\n**A cross-reference that inverted.** The #605 entry said the numeric-dep\nfallback \"was lifted in #608, *below*\". Entries are prepended, so #608\nended up above it. Now says \"above\".\n\n**Output changes that were not flagged.** The #599 entry already uses a\nbold callout for a change in output order. Three of this cycle's fixes\nalso change existing output, and only that one said so. Added the same\ncallout to:\n\n- **#605** — `sigtest_table_*` column order changes. Unavoidable while\nfixing the bug, and worth stating that the previous order was whatever\n`.by` happened to emit rather than a deliberate layout, so nobody reads\nit as a regression.\n- **#608** — keys that were silently ignored for a numeric dependent\nvariable now abort. Someone passing `sort_indep_by = \".top\"` with a\nnumeric dep gets an error where they previously got output.\n\nDeliberately **not** flagged: #603 and #613. Their output does change,\nbut only in cases that previously aborted outright, so there is no\nworking behaviour for a reader to be warned about.\n\n## Verification\n\nFull suite **1687 tests, 0 failures, 0 errors**; `document()`\nidempoten",
